Outdoor Education - Schools
Thornbridge Outdoors runs a range of first aid courses accredited by Health and Safety Executive approved providers, including Rescue Emergency Care and Immediate Temporary Care.
Courses for individuals and small groups are run at Thornbridge Outdoors, and courses for groups can be arranged at Thornbridge Outdoors, or another venue of your choice.
Basic First Aid (1 day)
1 day courses that satisfies the requirements for some NGB awards and some local authority school visit guidelines.
Emergency/Outdoor First Aid (2 days)
A 2 day (16 hour), course with a focus on first aid in the outdoors, that satisfies the requirements of most outdoor NGB awards.
First Aid at Work (3 days)
A 3 day (18 hour) course that covers the Health and Safety syllabus for first aiders at work.
First Aid Courses for Young People (1/2 day)
Courses suitable for children aged 10 and above, including the BHF Heartstart scheme and DofE expedition first aid training.
First Aid Courses Designed for You...
If you need first aid training for your group of 6 or more we can run a specific course for your group here at Thornbridge, or at a venue of your choice. The options range from a 2 hour “Heartstart” course to a 3 day First Aid at Work course.
