Orienteering
Session
A number of permanent courses of varying levels of difficulty in place.

Problem Solving Session
A growing range of activities available (suitable for all ages and abilities) with equipment and tutor briefing sheets. Suggestions and new ideas welcome.

Cycling Session
There are a range of mountain bike courses on-site as well as easy access to the Monsal Trail. Adult and children’s mountain bikes can be delivered to the site by prior arrangement.

Low Ropes Course Session
This can be supervised by Thornbridge or visiting staff. Visiting staff need to attend a half-day Low Ropes Endorsement course in order to use the low ropes course with groups.

Tips For Teachers

High Ropes Session / Zip Wire Session
"High Ropes" includes a tree climb, cargo net and the new ‘Jacob’s Ladder’. All activities require trained staff to operate.

Nightline / String Trail Session
Blindfolds available for daytime use

Environmental Projects Session
Such as river / stream studies, pond dipping, habitat studies, tree studies , bird studies, badger watching, environmental art.

Practical Conservation Session
Such as hedge planting and path making (dependent on the time of year and projects in need of attention at the time of your visit). This can be discussed prior to your visit

Environmental Games Session
Resourses for teachers.

Den Building Session
It is possible to link this activity with a study of habitats and investigating where creatures live.
