Can you provide catering?
All residential units at Thornbridge Outdoors (Farm, Lodge, Camp) are fully equipped for self-catering so you can be totally self-sufficient or we can arrange catering support for you, if you prefer.
The amount of catering support can vary from assisted catering (when we provide a self-serve meal) to a fully catered package. Contact Thornbridge to discuss your groups’ requirements, along with any special requests or dietary needs. We can be flexible about the amount of support we provide – such as help with the preparation of meals or provision of a ready-prepared evening meal, so that you simply turn the oven on when you return from activities. The tasks of laying tables and washing up can still be carried out by your group, which is considered by many to be an important part of any residential visit.
For day groups, you can select from a packed lunch, a buffet lunch (hot or cold), or even a BBQ!
Can you provide a large room?
Yes we do have large rooms available at Thornbridge that can seat up to 60 people. There are other rooms available for reviewing / reflection, meeting or recreation as well as a 'yurt' which can accommodate up to 40 people.

Other than Sheffield LA, can other schools / organisations use you?
Yes, we can offer day or multi-day programmes to all schools / youth groups / organisations. Contact us to discuss your requirements.
Do you offer packages for 2 and 3 nights?
Yes, we can provide a package price for week and weekend residentials and can be particularly flexible about dates during the winter months.
Do you offer team building days for:
- College students;
- Yr 11/12 and 6th form students;
- Young people likely to disengage from the curriculum;
- Yr 7 transition
- Young people with learning difficulties.
Yes we are able to offer day or residential programmes that are designed specifically for your group, whether the aim of your visit is for team development, leadership, communication skills, personal and social development or simply having fun. Contact us to discuss the options.
Can you provide archery at Thornbridge Outdoors?
Yes.
Can you provide watersport activities? (canoeing / raft building etc)
Yes, watersports are based from our Underbank Watersports Centre near Stocksbridge.
I would like to enquire as to whether you have any trainee instructor vacancies at the moment or in the near future. If so, I am keen to be considered for a position.
We do not have any trainee instructor vacancies available at the moment. If the situation changes we will advertise vcancies on our website through Sheffield City Council Job Shop and outdoor press..
