First Aid

Outdoor Education - Schools

Thornbridge Outdoors runs a range of first aid courses accredited by Rescue Emergency Care, a Health and Safety Executive approved provider of first aid training (number 1529/95).

Courses open to individuals are run at Thornbridge, and courses for groups can be arranged at Thornbridge, or another venue of your choice.

  • “Open” Basic first aid courses  – a 1 day (8 hour) basic course that satisfies the requirements for some NGB awards and some local authority school visit guidelines.
  • “Open” Emergency first aid courses – a 2 day (16 hour) course that satisfies the requirements of most outdoor NGB awards.
  • First aid courses for your group – if you have a group of 6 or more people who require a first aid training course (half day, 1 day or 2 day) we can run a specific course here at Thornbridge or at a venue of your choice.
