Outdoor Education - Schools
Thornbridge Outdoors can provide the perfect venue for your Staff Training / INSET days, with a 55-acre site in an idyllic setting, in the heart of the Peak District.
We can deliver a whole day programme of teambuilding activities or it could be combined with First Aid training / Group Leader training, or your own staff training if you prefer.
We can provide a venue for a day or multi-day event with
- Rooms for training / meetings
- Accommodation
- AVA equipment and I.T facilities
- Outdoor space for activities / training
- Catering and refreshments
- Instruction (Tutors and Facilitators)
We are also happy to discuss any specific needs / requirements for your group or event.
We have provided a number of Team Building / Away Days for schools and organisations, and depending on your requirements, the day(s) can include the following:
- Team building / problem solving tasks
- Whole group ‘challenge’
- Treasure hunt
- Outdoor activities (rock climbing, caving, abseiling, hill walking)
- First Aid Training
- Educational Visits / Group Leader Training (for staff involved in leading educational visits)
- Local walk

Party venue - our yurt
Last weekend our yurt was used for its first 1st birthday party.

Cyclists making the most of Thornbridge
This past weekend Thornbridge was full of cyclists. A Solihull Cycling Club meet and British Cycling training courses made for a busy site.
