Thornbridge Outdoors is Sheffield City Council’s outdoor education centre, located in the heart of the Peak District. While our centre offers unforgettable residential experiences, we also bring the magic of outdoor learning directly to your school through our Outreach Programme.
What Is Outreach?
Our outreach programme allows us to deliver high-quality outdoor learning at your school or a venue of your choice. Whether you’re looking to enrich your curriculum, build team spirit, or develop key life skills, our experienced instructors can tailor sessions to meet your needs.
Activities include:
- Team building and problem-solving tasks (indoor and outdoor)
- Survival skills and fire-lighting
- Orienteering and map reading
- First aid training
- School INSET days
- Climbing wall tuition and training
- OEAP Outdoor Learning Cards training for staff

Support for Teachers
