Here at Thornbridge Outdoors we are supporters of Learning Away’s Brilliant Residentials campaign, whose vision is for more children and young people to enjoy residentials and the life changing experiences they offer. Learning Away spent five years working with 60 schools to get a clear picture of what high-quality residential learning is and have coined the phrase ‘Brilliant
Study Based Getaways
How about combining revision/project work with outdoor activities​ and/or using our accommodation and meeting spaces for distraction free study to create a brilliant residential that helps students to achieve the best that they can? Examples to date: A focused music practice weekend for secondary school students. A ‘revision camp’ with a mixture of outdoor activity sessions and teacher led revision sessions. A university screen
CBBC – Our School
Our instructors Martin and Cath was part of an episode of Our School filmed by the BBC.  The episode featured Firth Park Academy going on a canoeing trip, you can see how they got on by watching the episode on BBC iPlayer!
Start of a new academic year
We hope everyone has had a great summer holiday, here at Thornbridge Outdoors we have hit the ground running this academic year.  Already we have trained 42 school staff in first aid, run an INSET day for 3 different schools totalling around 200 school staff and had our first school residential of the year arrive

New building is now open!
Our new building which has been named ‘Woodlands‘ has been finished and is now open for bookings.  The building was designed from the ground up to cater for groups which include those with additional needs and is located with fantastic views down the field and into mature woodland. We have finished furnishing the building with specially
