We’re excited to be recruiting a full time, permanent Outdoor Activity Instructor to join us providing outdoor adventures in the wonderful Peak District.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, empathetic and adaptable outdoor instructor to share their love of the outdoors with our clients on a permanent, full time basis.

Thornbridge Outdoors is Sheffield City Council’s outdoor learning centre located near Bakewell in the Peak District. Our mission is ‘to widen the horizons of young people through real outdoor adventures in the Peak District’.
Applicants should have:
- A passion for outdoor activities and delivering outdoor learning.
- Experience leading outdoor activities and the drive to be able to deliver the full range of activities offered at the centre.
- Passed their Mountain Training Rock Climbing Instructor qualification and have the drive to achieve qualifications in caving, mountain biking and canoeing.
Your main role will be to run high quality outdoor education sessions for a range of different groups at our centre, in various venues across the Peak District and on occasion at schools. Activities that the centre delivers include mountain biking, canoeing, high ropes courses, caving/mine exploration, climbing, problem solving, abseiling, hillwalking and bushcraft.
