Outdoor Education - Schools
Thornbridge Outdoors is run by Sheffield City Council and provides outdoor education and environmental activities for groups, as well as training courses, an event venue, event planning and management training.
We welcome enquiries from Sheffield and non-Sheffield organisations alike seeking a day / residential experience here at Thornbridge Outdoors, Underbank (our watersports day centre), or at a location of your choice.
Our main centre is located near Great Longstone, in the heart of the Peak District a few miles outside Bakewell, It has an extensive 55-acre site in an idyllic setting, accommodation for 60 people, a camping area, meeting rooms, cycle trails and various onsite activities.

On Sat 15th Sun 16th October Thornbridge hosted the Alpkit Big Shakeout - the site was busy with climbing, biking, family days, film showings, music and much more.
