Exclusive Venue Hire in the Peak District for Weddings, Retreats, Festivals & Group Events

Looking for a unique venue in the Peak District National Park? Thornbridge Outdoors offers exclusive access to our 30-acre site, making it the ideal location for:

  • Wedding receptions (Lloyd Clarke Wedding Photography)
  • Outdoor festivals and celebrations
  • Fitness and wellness retreats
  • Youth group camps (Girl Guides, Brownies)
  • Faith-based gatherings
  • Cycling and running events

 

Our venue has hosted notable events such as Alpkit’s Big Shakeout Festival and BMC’s Climb Out Festival, offering a flexible, well-equipped, and picturesque setting for unforgettable experiences.

With a combination of indoor and camping accommodation, versatile facilities, and a central location, Thornbridge Outdoors is easily accessible for guests travelling from across the UK. Whether you’re planning a weekend celebration or a multi-day retreat, our site provides the space and flexibility to make your event truly special.

    • Bell Tent Village and Base Camp facilities for up to 50 people with toilets, showers and use of a kitchen and dining room
    • 9 Bell Tents that each sleep 5 – 6 people (April – Sept only)
    • Meadow camping areas including toilet and shower blocks for an additional 80 campers
      • Note: there is no electric hook up for the Bell Tents or camping areas
  • Meeting Spaces & Outdoor Facilities 
  • Power for Marquee
    • One 32 amp and two 16 amp electricity points (standard caravan/campervan sockets) on the main field, perfect to provide power to a marquee
  • Optional Onsite Activities (additional charges apply)
    • Indoor bouldering wall room
    • Outside boulder
    • High and low ropes courses

Booking Options

Main Centre Booking (Max 150 people)

Includes sole use of:

  • Lodge, Farm House indoor accommodation
  • Base Camp facilities & Bell Tents (April to Sept only) and camping around Bell Tent area in own tents
  • Main car park (except the disabled parking space by Woodlands accommodation)
  • ‘Games field’
  • All meeting spaces
  • Permission to apply for a TENs licence for alcohol sales only (this must be obtained by the customer)

Includes shared use of:

  • Overflow car parking (weather permitting)

Excludes:

  • Permission for a marquee
  • Permission to apply for a TENs licence for music
  • Vehicle access to the field for set up, or the camping areas
  • Camper vans / Caravans
  • Use of outdoor activity equipment onsite where an outdoor instructor is required (sign posted onsite) – Customers are responsible for adhering to this

Maximum number of people:

  • 76 – indoor accommodation
  • 50 – Camping in Bell Tents or in own tents around the Bell Tent area
  • Total of 150 onsite at any one time (including day visitors)

Note: There may be other customers staying in the other indoor accommodation, camping in the Meadow Camping areas or day visitors onsite.

Whole Site Booking (Max 250 people)

Includes sole use of:

  • Lodge, Farm House, Woodlands indoor accommodation
  • Base Camp facilities & Bell Tents (April to Sept only) and additional camping around Bell Tent area in own tents
  • Meadow Camping areas including toilet and shower blocks
  • Main car park
  • Overflow car parking (weather permitting)
  • ‘Games field’
  • All meeting spaces and outdoor facilities
  • Permission to:
    • Apply for a TENs licence for alcohol sales and/or music (this must be obtained by the customer)
    • Put up a marquee and use the electricity point
    • Access areas with vehicles (at agreed times with us) to set up

Restrictions:

  • Outdoor music to be turned off at 11pm

Excludes:

  • Vehicle access to camping areas
  • Camper vans / Caravans
  • Use of outdoor activity equipment onsite where an outdoor instructor is required (sign posted onsite) – Customers are responsible for adhering to this

Maximum number of people:

  • 86 – Indoor accommodation
  • 50 – Camping in Bell Tents or in own tents around the Bell Tent area
  • 80 – Camping in the Meadow Camping areas
  • Total of 250 onsite at any one time (including day visitors)

Note: While you have exclusive use of the site, Thornbridge Outdoors staff and contractors can access the site for maintenance and usual day to day work duties.

Pricing & Booking Information

Standard Main Centre Weekend Booking

  • 2-night stay: Friday (from 4.00pm) to Sunday (until 5.00pm)
  • Dates: 1 April 2026 – 31 March 2027
  • Prices: From £4,404.90 (winter) to £6,412.10 (summer) – including VAT

Standard Whole Site Weekend Booking

  • 2-night stay: Friday (from 4.00pm) to Sunday (until 5.00pm)
  • Dates: 1 April 2026 – 31 March 2027
  • Prices: From £5,091.50 (winter) to £7,968.10 (summer) – including VAT

Mid-week, Bank Holidays & Longer Stays

Bank holidays (including Christmas and New Year) require a minimum 3-night booking. Please contact us for pricing for mid-week, bank holiday weekends or extended stays.

Refundable Bond

A refundable bond is payable with your booking. This will be returned approximately 10 working days after departure, provided everything is in order.
