The Farm House at Thornbridge Outdoors is a charming, Grade II listed 19th-century building featuring a unique roundhouse. Located in the heart of the Peak District National Park, it offers direct access to the traffic-free Monsal Trail, making it an ideal base for schools, friends and families, groups, and organisations.
Sleeping Arrangements & Room Details
The Farm House sleeps up to 38 guests, including 5 staff or group leaders, across 7 bedrooms named after local caverns and caves offering a mix of bunk beds and single beds. The layout includes:
- Pooles – sleeps 2, with en-suite toilet and sink
- Treak Cliff – sleeps 3
- Ashford Black Marble – sleeps 5
- Speedwell and Blue John – sleep 6 each
- Carlswark and Giants – sleep 8 each
The dining room seats 36, making it perfect for group meals and activities.
Kitchen & Dining Facilities
The fully equipped kitchen includes:
- Catering-size utensils and appliances
- Large cooker, grill, microwave, toaster, instant hot water boiler
- Commercial upright fridge and freezer
- Commercial dishwasher and pantry
- High chair and travel cot available on request
Double doors from the dining room lead to a patio with outdoor seating for 36 and a large charcoal BBQ ideal for alfresco dining – guests can purchase charcoal when booking or bring their own.

- Lounge area with comfy seating, coffee table, LCD TV, and Blu-ray player (laptop connectivity available)
- Wi-Fi access throughout the Farm House
- Separate male and female toilet and shower rooms
- Separate toilet/shower room for staff or group leaders
- Bedding provided: duvet, duvet cover, pillow, pillowcase, and fitted sheet (guests make their own beds)

- Early Arrival Option: If you’d like to arrive earlier for activities or meetings, please contact us to discuss availability.

- Sunday by 5.00pm
Note: Activities and meeting spaces may be available on Wednesday or Friday afternoons if you wish to stay onsite longer – please get in touch to explore your options.
