Thornbridge Outdoors and the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation

We have reluctantly taken the decision to close Thornbridge Outdoors to visiting non-school groups and course attendees from today until the end of April in light of government guidance regarding avoiding unnecessary travel and social distancing.

If schools with bookings for residential and day visits between now and the end of April would like to visit during the above period we will do everything that we can to enable those visits, so long as there isn’t government advice to the contrary.

We will be in touch with everybody who has a booking between now and 30 April 2020 soon to discuss the options available.

The above measure are in response to the national situation – we have no known cases at the centre or in its staff.

For bookings in May and beyond we will be preparing, in the hope that the centre will be open and able to welcome groups. This will be reviewed based on available information as the situation progresses.

We are sad that the direct aspects of fulfilling our mission of ‘Widening the horizons of young people through real outdoor adventures in the Peak District’ is going to have a pause  but rest assured that  we will be using the time available to develop and improve what we offer to young people.
